Wang Xian, professor ,recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. She has been appointed as a Cheung Kong Scholar Distinguished Professor under the Ministry of Education. Currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Progress in Physiological Sciences, she previously held leadership positions including Vice Director of Peking University Health Science Center, Deputy Director of the Institute of Vascular Medicine at Peking University Third Hospital, and Director of the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the School of Basic Medical Sciences.
