WEIZHEN ZHANG, Professor, AGA fellow, Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, Peking University Health Science Center.

  1. Introduction:

Professor ZHANG received the Ph. D from Peking University Health Science Center in 1994. After finishing his postdoc training at the University of Michigan, Professor ZHANG joined the faculty at the Department of Surgery, University of Michigan and was promoted to Research Assistant, Associate Professor and Professor. In 2007, Dr. ZHANG joined the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, Peking University Health Science Center as a Professor. Professor ZHANG has published more than 180 research articles in the prestigious journal such as Nat Commun, Hepatology, PNAS, Diabetes and Diabetologia. His research has been continuously funded by NIH, ADA, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Program on Key Basic Research Project. Professor ZHANG serves as the editor in chief for Open Journal of Molecular and Integrative Physiology and Open Journal of Gastroenterology, as well as the ad hov. reviewer for prestigious journals including Gut, Int J Obes, Endocrinology, J Endocrinology, AJP.
